- Updated Vauxhall Corsa Electric
- Range increases to a max 266 miles
- Now gets Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) tech
- Prices start from £28,900
It’s the UK’s best-selling electric supermini - and the Vauxhall Corsa Electric can now go even further on a single charge.
Yep, the battery-powered version of the Vauxhall Corsa topped the list of most-registered small EVs in 2024, and has been selling like hot cakes in 2025, too.
And now the capable hatchback is even more tempting after Vauxhall upped the maximum range from around 250 miles to 266 miles on a single charge.
That figure is for the ‘Long Range’ model fitted with a 51 kWh battery and 156 PS electric motor - though models lower down the pecking order come with a slightly smaller 50 kWh battery and a range that begins at around 215 miles between trips to the plug.
How has Vauxhall eked out extra miles from the same powertrain? The manufacturer says it’s down to ‘advancements in nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) battery technology and increased drivetrain efficiency’, with the Corsa Electric Long Range now consuming 4.3 miles per kWh.
There’s more good news for folks looking to lease a Vauxhall Corsa Electric.
The popular hatch has also been handed Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality for the first time (again on the Long Range model) which lets you power external devices, like power tools and camping equipment, using the car’s battery.
When it comes to recharging, the Corsa Electric Long Range can recharge to 80% in under 30 minutes at a 10 0kW DC rapid charger.
The Corsa Electric Long Range trim line-up beings at the ‘YES Edition’, which is generously equipped. You get heated front seats, heated steering wheel, tinted rear windows, and 16-inch alloys.
Rivals to the Vauxhall Corsa Electric include the Renault 5 E-Tech, Peugeot E-208, and the new MINI Cooper Electric.
