There’s also hot CUPRA versions of the SEAT Leon, available in both hatchback and estate form.

Cupra Frequently Asked Questions

Cupra is one of the motoring world’s relatively new kids on the block, having once been the performance arm of SEAT but having recently become a standalone entity. And Cupra models are marked-out as something truly different and unique by their aggressive, muscular styling and eye-catching tech. These are sports cars to meet the needs of busy lifestyles. And with a range of powertrains, from traditional petrol engines to the latest in battery-electric innovation, there’s a Cupra to attract most lease customers.

The award-winning Cupra Formentor is one of the hottest SUV crossovers on the market, boasting head-turning style, the option of a plug-in hybrid powertrain and power of up to 310 PS. The all-electric Cupra Born, meanwhile, has also been wowing critics with its razor-sharp design and range of up to 340 miles between charges.

Leasing a Cupra unlocks all the latest driver assistance and safety systems, from electronic stability control to confidence-inspiring braking support. And Cupra also puts its cars through the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP), the industry standard when it comes to rigorous safety checks.

To illustrate the point, the entry-level Cupra Leon hatchback boasts a parking camera, brake control, lane keep assist and cruise control, right out of the box.

The affordable Cupra Formentor will help you to keep your monthly leasing costs down - and will also put a huge grin on your face. Meanwhile the highly-popular Cupra Ateca SUV is also an excellent leasing choice, blending in-your-face design with potent performance.

Remember that when leasing a Cupra, you’ll enjoy fixed monthly payments, which should help you to budget, and your road tax and breakdown cover is also included from the off.

Whichever Cupra you choose, leasing a vehicle is a highly cost-effective, hassle-free way to drive a brand new car for less. And there’s a Cupra to suit all budgets, from the competitively-priced Cupra Formentor SUV crossover to the head-turning, top-of-the-range electric Cupra Born V3, which has power of 230 bhp and makes a brilliant alternative to the Volkswagen ID.3.

The Spain-headquartered manufacturer Cupra will count competitors such as Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT and Skoda as key rivals.

Why lease a Cupra?

Once a sub-division of SEAT, Cupra is now an independent, standalone entity, and has been since 2018. Becoming a standalone entity is great news for lease customers - because CUPRA has torn up the rule book when it comes to car design, creating a range of exciting vehicles that’ll put a grin on the face of owners while also turning heads with their bold exterior looks.

The CUPRA Formentor is a compact SUV with real bling and a rival to the Audi Q3 and Volvo XC40. There’s a wide choice of powertrains available, from the entry level V1 featuring a 1.5 litre petrol engine, to the more potent VZ3, which boasts a 2.0-litre TSI mill generating 310 PS of peak power and 400 Nm of torque.

You can also enjoy a plug-in hybrid Formentor - the eHybrid - which utilises a 1.4 litre petrol engine married to a 85 kW electric motor and 13kWh battery, and is tuned to either 204PS or 245PS.

The eHybrid also has an electric-only range of 31miles - which means it attracts an ultra low Benefit in Kind (BIK) tax rate of just 11% for the year 2021-22.
