- Top 15 'off the beaten track' destinations to visit in the UK.
- Perfect for the school summer holidays.
- Revealed by Jeep and Ordnance Survey.
- Rugged Jeep Compass is ready for adventure and can be leased with Select.
Want to escape the crowds and get off the beaten track with the kids during the school summer holidays? Jeep is here to help.
The manufacturer has enlisted the help of mapping experts Ordnance Survey to come up with a top 15 list of the best ‘off the beaten track’ spots to visit with youngsters.
The run-down encompasses colossal caves, empty stretches of beaches, and hidden waterfalls.
And they’re all FREE to visit - helping you to save dosh while the wee ones are away from the classroom.
In fact, Jeep and Ordnance Survey have put together a list of 100 locations that you can explore with this interactive map.
Need a vehicle that’s ready for adventure? That’d be the Jeep Compass, which is front and centre of the firm’s ‘Get Lost' campaign - and which can be leased with Select Car Leasing for less than you might expect.
A new Jeep survey has also shed some new light on what parents prioritise when it comes to day trips with kids. More than half of parents (56%) want to avoid tourist hotspots over the summer while 44% of the 1,000 parents polled said they end up taking their children to the same places over and over again.
One of the main reasons for that was ‘not having time to research new places to visit' (28%).
Overall, Families spend an average of £425 on their kids’ summer holiday activities, but 61% say the cost-of-living crisis is affecting their summer holiday plans with their children.
Kris Cholmondeley, Managing Director at Jeep UK said: “We’ve focused our top 15 ‘off the beaten track’ outdoor locations on places that are free to visit, as keeping costs down is a top priority for parents. These locations showcase the very best of the Great British outdoors, yet those that are lesser known to the wider public.”
So, get visiting them while you can before word gets out!
