Electric Skoda Enyaq gets more affordable

  • New affordable, entry-level models launched for Skoda Enyaq.
  • The 50 and 50 Edition models get 55 kWh battery and 170 PS.
  • Max range of 234 miles.
  • Priced from £36,970 to buy outright.

The Skoda Enyaq just got more affordable, thanks to a pair of new entry-level models.

The Enyaq is Skoda’s multi award-winning electric SUV which sits alongside the sleeker-looking Enyaq Coupe in the Czech firm’s range.

Now Skoda has shaved £2,000 off the asking price of the Enyaq by launching the ‘Enyaq 50’ and ‘Enyaq 50 Edition’ models, with these variants beginning at £36,970. That lower cost should also be reflected in your monthly lease fees.

The ‘50’ replaces the outgoing ‘60’ in the Enyaq line-up, with the 60 previously representing the cheapest variant.

You can expect a 55kWh battery that delivers up to 234 miles of range. Power of 170 PS and 310 Nm of torque drives the rear wheels and you’ll accelerate leisurely from 0-62 mph in 9.1 seconds.

Both Enyaq 50 models offer a peak DC charge speed of 145kW and 11kW on an AC connection. Hook them to a rapid charger and you’re looking at an 80% charge in around 25 minutes. A full charge on an 11kW AC connection will take around five hours and 30 minutes.

Meanwhile both models are also well equipped as standard.

You get 19-inch wheels, a 13-inch touchscreen and sat nav with the base Enyaq 50, while the 50 Edition adds full LED Matrix headlights, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, privacy glass and adaptive cruise control.

Elsewhere, the line-up has been simplified and now features the Enyaq 85 Edition, Enyaq 85x Sportline Plus, Enyaq 85 L&K and the range-topping Enyaq vRS.

All Enyaq 85 models are equipped with a larger 82kWh battery and get a range of up to 364 miles between charges.

Rivals to the Skoda Enyaq include the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Volkswagen ID.4, and the Nissan Ariya.

I could not recommend Select enough and the amazing service I had from my consultant Shane Newton. Shane regularly updated me on progress of my new vehicle, and was always so helpful in answering any queries I had regarding my order throughout the whole process - no question was silly - he always responded promptly whether that be through email or phone call. I just received my new vehicle last week, and Shane was in contact right away to ensure the handover was seamless and that I was happy with my new vehicle! Needless to say I was very happy with the earlier than anticipated delivery - Christmas has came early! This is my second vehicle with Select and yet another excellent service. I could not fault anything and want to thank Shane once again for all of his help!
