After a long awaited announcement, the Silicon Valley car maker Tesla Motors has finally revealed its exclusive Model X electric SUV at its Freemont Factory, California.
The new Model X is the third model in the Tesla range and will be the manufacturers first sport utility vehicle (SUV) distinguished by its double-hinged falcon wing rear doors which open upwards.

Design and styling
The Tesla Model X is built on the same platform as the Model S, but with a longer wheelbase with a SUV look. The car features approximately similar dimensions to that of an Audi Q7 however the interior is much bigger offering around 40% more space than the Q7.
The most notable and distinctive features of the Model X are the Falcon wing doors that give you easy access to second and third row seats. The Model X offers the largest windshield in production providing panoramic visibility to the driver and all passengers.
The Model X offers two seating configuration to choose between 2 3 2 or 2 2 2 with an option of seven and six seats interior with third row seats which are foldable when not in use. The second row seats offer maximum space and comfort for the passengers. The dashboard benefits from a giant portrait-format screen which weve already seen in the Model S.
Engines
The Tesla Model X is a fully electric car thats going to be offered in two versions with an all-wheel drive system as standard.
· The P90D engine offers an exclusive 250 miles economy, with a top speed of 155 miles per hour. The car can accelerate 0 to 62 miles per hour in just 3.8 seconds like a sport-performance car.
· Another 90D engine offers the ultimate 257 miles range with a top speed of 155 miles per hour. The car can accelerate from 0 to 62 miles per hour in just 4.8 seconds.
The car comes with 8 year, infinite mile battery and drive unit warranty all as standard!
With all the great looks, amazing practicality & an electric engine, the Model X is also designed with safety in mind as first priority which comes with air suspension, active emergency braking systems, parking sensors, blind spot & collision warnings and many more!
The prices are yet to be revealed however we would expect to be similar as Tesla Model X. The estimated delivery to be made for new reservations is the latter half of 2016.
