- Brand-new trim structure for the Skoda Karoq
- SE Edition is the new entry-level
- All models get heated seats and heated steering wheel
- Prices begin at £29,975 to buy outright
Leasing the affordable Skoda Karoq just got even more tempting after the SUV was given more kit fitted as standard.
The Karoq is Skoda’s medium-sized SUV, sitting between the smaller Kamiq and larger Kodiaq.
And now, thanks to Skoda choosing to enhance the specification while completely overhauling the trim naming structure, the Karoq comes with an improved list of standard-issue equipment.
That list now includes heated front seats, heated steering wheel and a reversing camera on all models.
There are also three brand new trim levels to choose from - Karoq SE Edition, SE L Edition and SportLine Edition - which are designed to maximise bang for your buck.
The Karoq SE Edition replaces the previous SE Drive trim and becomes the new entry-level.
It comes as standard with front parking sensors, keyless entry, 17-inch alloys and an 8-inch touchscreen satellite navigation system (as well as the heated seats, heated steering wheel and reversing camera mentioned above).
The Karoq SE L Edition is the next rung up from the base model and gets larger 18-inch alloys, an electrically-operated boot, adaptive cruise control and 9.2-inch touchscreen.
At the top of the range is the Karoq SportLine Edition. Here you’ll enjoy 19-inch alloys, dynamic chassis control, progressive steering, heated rear seats and a heated windscreen.
As before, the Karoq range is available with four engine options, with three petrol powertrains and one diesel one. Power output ranges from 116 PS to a decent 190 PS when you choose the 2.0-litre TSI petrol.
The Karoq in either SE L Edition or SportLine Edition can also be equipped with all-wheel drive.
Prices start at £29,975 to buy outright. Rivals to the Skoda Karoq are numerous and include the Nissan Qashqai, Kia Sportage and Peugeot 3008.
