- All-new Kia EV4 revealed
- Will be available as both hatchback and saloon
- Expected to arrive in 2026 as Tesla Model 3 and VW ID.3 rival
- Full details to be revealed later this month
This is the all-new Kia EV4 - revealed for the first time as both a saloon and a hatchback.
The EV4 has been promised for a while now, having first been teased as a concept model back in 2023.
And now it has properly debuted, with the production model previewed ahead of the manufacturer’s big ‘2025 Kia EV Day’ event being held in Spain later this month.
When the EV4 becomes available to lease (we reckon either late this year or early next) it’ll slot into Kia’s range between the more compact EV3 and the larger EV6 SUV-coupe.
While prices are still to be confirmed, the EV4 is expected to cost from around £35,000 - which means the saloon could undercut the Tesla Model 3 when it comes to leasing prices while also being a good chunk cheaper than the Hyundai Ioniq 6.
The Kia EV4 hatchback, meanwhile, should go up against alternatives like the VW ID.3 and the Renault Megane E-Tech.
So, what do we know so far about the Kia EV4?
We don’t yet know what battery options the EV4 will get, but it seems likely that the 58.3 kWh and 81.4 kWh powertrains from the EV3 will also be carried over to the EV4. That means that with the largest unit, the Kia EV4 should be able to cover around 350 miles between charges.
Design-wise, both the hatchback and saloon feature Kia’s trademark ‘Tiger Face’ EV front end with vertical headlamps and a ‘Star Map lighting signature’.
The Kia EV4 hatchback is described as looking ‘contemporary’ and ‘solid’, coming with contrasting black vertical C-pillars, 19-inch wheels, and geometric patterns applied to the car’s lower body sections.
The sleeker Kia EV4 saloon, meanwhile, boasts a low-slung silhouette, a long-tail rear, and a unique two-piece rear spoiler.
There will also be a fancy GT-Line trim - available on both the hatch and saloon - which features more aggressive exterior styling, complete with wing-shaped front and rear bumpers, and triangular-motif 19-inch alloys.
