Indiana Jones has cracked his whip and urged you to drive a Jeep.
The SUV manufacturer - ‘America’s most patriotic brand’, according to Jeep - has roped-in acclaimed actor and Indiana Jones star Harrison Ford to appear in a big-budget new ad campaign.
The promo - directed by Oscar-nominated director James Mangold - debuted during this week’s Super Bowl.

Mangold is something of a celluloid petrolhead, having helmed 2019’s Ford v Ferrari and 2017’s car-heavy comic book flick Logan. He also director Ford in 2023’s Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.
In the new advert, Indy thesp Ford is seen revealing his ‘Owner’s Manual’ for life - which includes getting behind the wheel of a go-anywhere and do-anything Jeep Wrangler.
He says: “Choose what makes you happy. My friends, my family, my work make me happy. This Jeep (a plug-in hybrid Wrangler 4xe) makes me happy…even though my name is Ford. That's my owner’s manual. Get out there. Write your own.”
You can’t actually lease the PHEV Wrangler here in the UK just yet, but the plug-in hybrid ‘4xe’ powertrain is available with the Jeep Compass, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Renegade. You can lease them all with Select Car Leasing or enjoy the mild-hybrid Jeep Avenger from around £350 per month*.
Ford, now aged 82, said of the experience: “I said 'yes' to doing this commercial because of the script. It's a very straightforward communication about life, and ends with getting in a Jeep vehicle, that's the hook.”
