Xpeng is a forward-thinking Chinese vehicle manufacturer that entered the UK leasing market in 2025 on a mission to ‘answer complex mobility questions’.
The G6 SUV could well be an answer to the question, ‘What’s an affordable alternative to the Tesla Model Y?’
Like its Californian competitor, the Xpeng G6 adopts a sleek coupe profile and comes generously equipped with kit as standard - including an efficiency-boosting heat pump.
High-tech 800-volt architecture supports rapid charging and promises a 10-80% replenish in less than 20 minutes.
One of the big plus points of an Xpeng G6 lease is the level of specification, even on entry-level models.
You can expect a range of at least 270 miles between charges, as well as 20-inch alloys with Michelin tyres, a panoramic glass roof, heated seats all round, ventilated seats in the front, heated steering wheel, wireless charging, and an 18-speaker sound system.
You’ll also be protected by Xpeng’s ‘XPilot’ driver assistance systems as standard, which includes tech like adaptive cruise control and automated parking.
Long Range models get a larger 87.5 kWh battery and a range of up to 354 miles.
Other than the choice of batteries (see above), the G6 is essentially offered in one all-encompassing trim. Standard-issue equipment includes 20-inch alloys, a panoramic glass roof, heated and ventilated seats, heated steering wheel, wireless charging, a 14.96-inch central control screen and separate 10.2-inch digital cockpit, and safety tech such as adaptive cruise control and automated parking. A heat pump is also fitted as standard.
