Alpine is the performance division for French manufacturer Renault.
And the Alpine A290 is Alpine’s own inimitable take on the multi award-winning Renault 5 E-Tech.
While the Renault 5 makes do with power of 150 PS, the Alpine A290 ups that to a maximum of 220 PS while also boasting more aggressive exterior styling.
The Alpine A290 gets a range of up to 236 miles between charges while being capable of accelerating from 0-62 mph in 6.4 seconds. All models get an efficiency-boosting heat pump.
If you love the Renault 5 E-Tech but want something with a little more oomph, an Alpine A290 lease could be the one for you.
Besides increases in power and pace over the Renault 5 E-Tech, the A290 also boasts an Alpine sport-tuned chassis with multilink rear suspension and hydraulic bump stops, as well as Brembo brakes.
Sit yourself behind the F1-inspired steering wheel and you’ll also find Alpine Telemetrics data, helping you to increase your lap times when you head to the track.
All models come loaded with equipment as standard, with entry-level examples offering 19-inch alloys, a two-tone roof, heated seats, heated steering wheel, wireless charging, and privacy glass.
Entry-level GT models feature 19-inch alloys, full LED headlights, a two-tone roof, 10-inch touchscreen with nav and Google services built in, wireless charging, heated seats, heated steering wheel, privacy glass, and safety tech like intelligent adaptive cruise control.
The GT Premium grade adds Nappa leather upholstery, an uprated sound system, blue brake calipers, and bi-colour roof.
GT Performance models boast Michelin Pilot Sport tyres, black monograms, red brake calipers, and Alpine Telemetrics. GT Performance variants also get the more powerful 220 PS drivetrain.
An Alpine A290 lease in GTS trim unlocks black wheels, sports tyres, lumbar seat adjustment, and Alpine Telemetrics for the track.
The range-topping Premiere Edition features style flourishes inside and out, including unique carpeting and blue steering wheel centre cap. It also comes with the Alpine ‘Safety Pack’ (lane departure prevention when overtaking, safe occupant exit alert) and the ‘Driving Pack’ (adaptive cruise with lane centring, hands-free parking).

Connor Esberger was an extremely good contact throughout my leasing process. Very responsive and helpful. I can't thank him enough. However, the process wasn't straight forward and it made it frustrating for myself and Connor. Unfortunately the vehicle was very late in being delivered with so many bumps along the way with the Portal system incorrect and misinformation being given by others. We got there in the end however and I am now delighted with my new vehicle. I will use Select Car Leasing again and hope that it will be smoother next time and that my delivery experience is out of the ordinary.

Excellent service by Charlie Cooper who made the whole experience very easy and slick. The car we wanted was already reserved so we started to look elsewhere but Charlie remained on the case and contacted us when the car became available again. Would definitely recommend.
