Here, we have the latest EuroNCAP safety ratings of the Volvo XC90, Toyota Avensis, Volkswagen Touran, Audi Q7, Ford Galaxy, S-Max, Renault Kadjar, Mazda MX-3 and Mitsubishi L200.
Apart from Mazda MX-3 and Mitsubishi L200, all the tested models in this batch have successfully achieved full five star crash safety ratings and the Volvo XC90 has received good scores in all categories.

Volvo XC90
The Volvo XC90 achieved top safety ratings in 2015s crash safety tests and has become the first car to achieve the full points in Euro NCAP safety assist category. The car helps to avoid collision in all scenarios and at all tested speeds.
In the pedestrian protection category, the XC90 has scored maximum points to the bumper where the protection of a pedestrians legs, providing good protection in all areas was tested. The XC90 also benefits from the standard-fir autonomous emergency braking system and recognises pedestrians, cyclists and other cars.
The Volvo XC90 made the first technological steps towards a crash-free future thanks to its speed assistance, lane support, ESP, seal belt reminder & the AEB interurban trial. The Swedish car has taken steps towards its Volvo Vision 2020 Project to eliminate all crashes and deaths in its cars by 2020.
Audi Q7
The Audi Q7 is a bold and powerful seven-seater SUV thats received top marks for active and passive safety plus and marginally managed to beat the XC90's score for child protection. The car provides good protection for all critical body regions allowing it to score maximum points.
A new Q7 earned its best ratings among the safest cars in this segment by showing a good amount of protection for adults, pedestrians and children as well. The car works very well at all speeds as its equipped with electronic stability control and autonomous braking system as standard.
Toyota Avensis & VW Touran
Both are family friendly cars that have achieved their full five star crash safety ratings. A new Avensis - the third generation British built model is equipped with Toyota safety sense, a package of active safety and driver assistance features as standard that have added to its safety provisions and supported the good scoring for its EuroNCAP results.
The Volkswagen Touran provides overall good safety scores where its first-class safety package; made up of an optimised body structure and innovative driver assistance systems. The Touran received positive ratings in particular to design details that reduce the risk of injury to passers-by.
Other models such as the Ford S-Max, Galaxy & Renault Kadjar have also achieved full five star ratings.
Mazda CX-3 & Mitsubishi L200
The Mazda CX-3 is the best selling model in the Mazda range and its ended up with four star ratings in the EuroNCAP safety test due to not having the autonomous braking system (AEB) as standard.
Based on the same autonomous braking system (AEB) requirement, the Mitsubishi L200 also scored a four-star rating.
