Top 10 cheapest EVs to lease right now

More and more motorists are looking to make the switch to an electric vehicle - and these are our Top 10 cheapest EV lease deals right now.

The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) this week revealed how the UK had hit a ‘monumental milestone’ when it comes to EVs.

There are now more than 1.3 million fully-electric vehicles on our roads, surpassing the one million mark for the first time and with registrations up 38.9% year on year. Battery electric vehicles now make up 19.6% of the market.

The deadline for switching to an EV is also now looming, with the government recently confirming its pledge to ban the sales of new combustion engine cars by 2030.

Getting behind the wheel of an electric vehicle doesn’t need to be expensive - or daunting. Check out our extensive EV guides if you’re still on the fence.

And if you still need convincing, here we present our most affordable EV lease deals:

Dacia Spring | Range: 140 miles | £118.08 per month*

It’s the UK’s cheapest EV - and the Dacia Spring is surprisingly well kitted-out as standard.

This deal is for an entry-level ‘Expression’ model with a 45 hp powertrain and 140 miles of range. You also get rear parking sensors, air con, cruise control, lane keep assist and a small display that integrates with your smart phone.

Leapmotor T03 | Range: 165 miles | £184.79 per month*

A relatively new kid on the block, the T03 from Chinese manufacturer Leapmotor is available in just one trim level - which is fine, because it’s properly loaded.

You get 15-inch alloys, a panoramic sunroof, 10.1-inch central touchscreen, sat nav, voice control, rear camera, keyless start, auto air con, parking sensors and adaptive cruise control.

Citroen e-C3 | Range: 198 miles | £235.49 per month*

The new and improved Citroen e-C3 is already winning admirers - check out our glowing new review of it here.

And this deal is actually for an e-C3 in the range-topping Max trim, which features goodies like LED lights, tinted windows, heated steering wheel, and a rear parking camera.

Renault 5 E-Tech | Range: 192 miles | £239.26 per month*

Yep, it’s the European Car of the Year 2025 - available for less than £240 quid a month.

This deal puts you behind the wheel of a Renault 5 E-Tech with a 40 kWh battery and in base ‘Evolution’ trim, which brings you 18-inch alloys, wireless phone charging, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Google services automatically built in.

Vauxhall Mokka Electric | Range: 209 miles | £239.95 per month*

The Mokka Electric is a compact hatchback-SUV crossover that competes with the Ford Puma Gen-E and the VW ID.3.

You see it here in entry-level ‘Griffin’ trim but you still get plenty for your monthly lease fee, including a 17-inch alloys, heated seats, a rear view camera and LED headlights.

Toyota Proace City Verso | Range: 213 miles | £245.98 per month*

The Proace City Verso is a slightly unusual entry into this list, as it’s a full-on MPV rather than an affordable hatchback. Yet it also comes with lots of room in the cabin and 983 litres of luggage space. It could well be your perfect family load-lugger.

A 50 kWh battery also unlocks a range of up to 213 miles between charges.

Volkswagen ID.3 | Range: 240 miles | £253.03 per month*

VW’s ID.3 is something of a bench-setter when it comes to EV hatchbacks.

This special offer is for an ID.3 in entry-level ‘Pure Match’ trim. You get decent power of 170 PS and a generous range, as well as 18-inch alloys, sat nav, and 120 kW DC rapid charging.

MINI Cooper Electric | Range: 185.8 miles | £261.18 per month*

The stylish MINI Cooper Electric is as good-looking as it is fun to drive.

Entry-level ‘E Classic’ models get 16 inch alloys, a 9.4-inch screen with voice control and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and dynamic cruise control.

MG4 EV | Range: 288 miles | £270.89 per month*

A bona fide multiple award winner, the MG4 EV was also one of the best-selling EVs in the UK last year.

This Long Range model (underpinned by a 64kWh battery) comes with the ‘MG Pilot’ suite of safety tech, including adaptive cruise control, as well as a 10.25-inch colour touchscreen and 7-inch digital cockpit.

MINI Aceman | Range: 192 miles | £272.78 per month*

The MINI Aceman is a fully-electric crossover that launched in the UK last year as a rival to the likes of the Volvo EX30 and new Kia EV3.

The E Classic grade gets you a 43 kWh battery alongside 17-inch rims and a fully-connected OLED display in the cabin.
