The award-winning Skoda Enyaq iV is now even more intelligent, thanks to a 2023 update that has boosted its tech while also helping to maximise the driving range.
The Enyaq iV is Skoda’s all-conquering, all-electric SUV crossover. It’s also a lease option recently named Best Value Electric Car at the Top Gear Electric Awards.
And now the Enyaq iV is even more attractive, thanks to a makeover that sees enhancements to the infotainment system as well as an updated battery management system to safeguard range.
As before, the Enyaq iV remains available in a few different guises. Base model is the ‘60’, which features a 58kW battery and a range of up to 246 miles. Have you got range anxiety? Take a look at our guide on electric car range to put it to bed.
You’ve then got ‘80’, ‘80 Sportline Plus’ and the all-wheel-drive ‘80x Sportline Plus’ models, all of which get a bigger 77 kWh battery and a range of up to 338 miles between plug ins.
What’s new for the Enyaq are improvements to its brain.
The software platform is now ‘Version 3.2’. It includes the ability for future updates to the car’s operating software, made over the air.
And it also means an upgrade for both the sat nav and the head-up display, while the heating and ventilation infotainment screens get ‘visual improvements’ to boost the user experience.
Remote Access for three years, via a dedicated app, is now a standard feature on all ENYAQ iV models, having previously been an option.
Perhaps most importantly, the update also delivers an improvement to the Enyaq iV’s battery management system. It works to ‘reduce electrical losses from the battery’ and should mean that drivers always get close to the car’s maximum driving range.
There are a few new option packages, too.
The £2,755 ‘Clever’ pack adds goodies like wireless phone charging, adaptive cruise control and heated front seats.
The ‘Plus’ package is an extra £4,830 and brings an electrically operated tailgate with kick activation, LED Matrix headlights, and uprated driver assistance tech, including Urban Evasive Steering Support.
The ‘Advanced’ package is a pricer £6,980 option that improves things with heated front and rear seats, a heated windscreen and a fancy sound system from German brand CANTON.
Meanwhile the ‘Maxx’ package - at £9,375 - chucks the lot at the Enyaq iV, including intelligent Park Assist, Dynamic Chassis Control and a heated three-spoke sports multi-function steering wheel with paddles to control the energy recuperation level.
