Good news if you’re in the market for a sporty electric trend-setter in 2023 - because Skoda has added new models to its Enyaq Coupe iV range.
First things first, a little recap is in order.
The Enyaq Coupe iV is a sleeker, lowered version of the regular electric Enyaq iV.
When it first went on sale earlier this year it was available in just the one format - a performance, all-wheel drive vRS variant (below) with power of 299 PS, max torque of 450 Nm, and a 0-62mph acceleration time of just 6.5 seconds.
But what if you wanted to dial-down the power in favour of a better range between charges?
This is where the new trim iterations, available to order early in the new year, come in.
You can now lease the Enyaq Coupe iV in ‘80’, ‘80 SportLine Plus’ and ‘80x SportLine Plus’ form.
The rear-wheel drive, entry-level 80 begins at £44,825 to buy outright - ten grand cheaper than the vRS version and a price that should be reflected in your monthly lease fee.
It gets a range of up to 345 miles compared with the vRS’s 323 miles.
The 80 also comes, as standard, with a fixed panoramic glass roof, 19 inch alloys, 13 inch infotainment screen, ambient lighting, sat nav, and rear view camera.
The 80 SportLine Plus Enyaq Coupe iV improves on things with ‘an even more striking appearance’ on the outside, as well as microsuede and leather interior, heated sports seats and carbon-effect decorative inserts.
SportLine Plus models also enjoy larger 20-inch ‘Vega Anthracite’ metallic alloy wheels, full LED Matrix beam headlights, sports suspension, progressive steering, and highly-desirable adaptive cruise control.
The Enyaq Coupe iV 80x SportLine Plus is pretty much the same as the regular SportLine Plus, but adds all-wheel drive - just like the vRS - and takes power up to 265 PS.
So what else is there to love about the Enyaq Coupe iV?
DC rapid charge at speeds of up to 135kW are a massive plus point, with an 80% charge achievable in as little as 29 minutes.
You can also expect a class-leading boot space of 570 litres and the option of a head-up display, if you tick the ‘Advance package’ box on the order form.
Rivals to the Enyaq Coupe iV include the Kia EV6, Volvo XC40 Recharge Electric and the Tesla Model Y.
And you can also lease the regular, SUV-shaped Skoda Enyaq iV from around £474** with Select Car Leasing.
