Land Rover has treated its Range Rover Evoque to a mild update that’ll make it even more tempting as a lease SUV.
The Evoque is, of course, the baby of the Range Rover line-up but also tantalisingly affordable for a whole host of lease customers.
In fact, you can lease a Range Rover Evoque with Select from around £405 per month*.
And now the Evoque will benefit from new tweaks to both the cabin as well as the optional plug-in hybrid powertrain.
The refreshed interior will feature a newly-designed centre console designed to maximise the space available.
That console is also now adorned with a new ‘floating’ 11.4-inch curved glass touchscreen with the latest Pivi Pro infotainment system - which comes with Amazon Alexa ready built-in.
There are new Pixel LED headlights at the front and new super-red lights at the rear.
And you can expect all the usual over-the-air updates for the software, as well as the option of a fully-vegan interior.
Meanwhile, one of the other significant changes comes to the ‘P300e’ plug-in hybrid powertrain. It now features a range of up to 39 miles using electricity alone - up from around 38 miles.
It’s not a huge increase, but every little helps. Land Rover is honest enough to reveal that the plug-in Evoque will have a ‘real world’ electric range of around 30 miles, which is still ample for most.
Rapid DC charging means the battery of the plug-in hybrid can also be replenished from 10-80% in less than 30 minutes.
Elsewhere, all but one of the Evoque’s engines is a mild-hybrid, barring the entry-level diesel mill. The plug-in hybrid is particularly potent, coming with power of 309 hp and boasting a 0-62 mph acceleration time of just 6.4 seconds.
You also have the option of a two-wheel drive Evoque, rather than an accomplished all-wheel drive variant, in order to keep leasing costs down.
Prof Gerry McGovern OBE, Chief Creative Officer, Jaguar Land Rover, said: “Range Rover Evoque’s unique personality has put its indelible mark on the automotive landscape. Its sophisticated design and timeless sense of modernity continues to strike that all important emotional chord.”
