The fully-electric new MINI Aceman is gearing-up for its full launch after undergoing final testing on some sandy desert roads in sunnier climes.
With the Aceman, MINI is smashing together its two most popular models - the regular hatchback and the Countryman SUV.
What you’re left with is something that sits between those two cars, size-wise, and which will boast ‘agile driving dynamics’ while still being able to accommodate five passengers.
We also now know that the Aceman will have a 54 kWh battery, which will give it a range of around 249 miles between charges.
It’s a battery that you can also deploy in the smaller, electric Cooper hatchback, which translates to healthy amounts of power (218 hp) and torque (330 Nm).
The Cooper supports fast charging at up to 95 kW DC, which can replenish the energy in the battery from 10 to 80 per cent in under 30 minutes.
Stefanie Wurst, head of MINI, said: “The all-electric MINI Aceman opens new opportunities for customers who want a smaller crossover than our successful MINI Countryman. The consistent electrification of our product portfolio makes a clear statement about the future of the MINI brand.”
The Aceman will be unveiled in full in April 2024.
And in the meantime, you can lease the electric MINI Cooper with Select from £340 per month*, or the electric MINI Countryman from £479 per month*.
