Here’s a first look at the refreshed Hyundai Tucson SUV, which is due to hit the leasing market early in 2024.
The Tucson is Hyundai’s family-sized SUV, sitting between the smaller Kona crossover and the larger, seven-seat Santa Fe in the Korean firm’s line-up.
Now the Tucson has been given a style update, with a tweaked front and rear end giving it a ‘more refined and dynamic design’, according to Hyundai.
It’s the first real facelift of the Tucson that we’ve seen since the fourth-gen model was launched back in 2020.
There’s a new front fascia that is said to boast a ‘bold interplay of thin, angular lines in the radiator grille’, and comes complete with ‘Jewel’ lights.
A revised bumper and skid plates give the Tucson a wider stance than before, while new alloy wheels also add some extra road presence.
The cabin has been refreshed to offer more room and a ‘sense of openness’ for passengers.
A Hyundai spokesperson says: “Whether a long journey to visit the family or a scenic drive through the countryside – embarking on a family road trip calls for a car that seamlessly integrates into the rhythm of everyday life. In pursuit of automotive excellence, the Hyundai Tucson emerges as a trustworthy companion, purposefully designed and meticulously crafted with the customer at its core. Tucson stands out as a testament to customer-centric ingenuity, addressing needs with precision in design, unparalleled convenience, and commitment to safety.”
There’s no word yet on whether there will be new powertrains for the improved Tucson.
But you can already enjoy a good mix of engines, from frugal self-charging hybrids to a plug-in hybrid unit that delivers an electric range of up to 38 miles.
The Hyundai Tucson - a key rival to the Kia Sportage and Nissan Qashqai - also makes for an affordable lease, with prices beginning at £257 per month*.
