Got a spare £2.35 million quid kicking about down the back of the sofa? You should get yourself one of these - a carbon fibre laced Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution Roadster.
When Texas-based hypercar manufacturer Hennessey introduces its new Roadster by saying ‘exclusivity is an understatement’, you know you’re looking at something special.
The Revolution Roadster is another spin-off from the intimidating 6.6-liter V8 Venom F5, which first arrived in 2020 and can be enjoyed as either a coupe or convertible roadster.
We first got an extreme, track-honed ‘Revolution’ coupe last year.
And now Hennessey has launched this open-top Revolution Roadster variant - which is again built for the race circuit and is packing the classic Venom 'Fury' engine with power of 1,817 hp.
With a 0-62mph time expected to be below 2.6 seconds, and a targeted top speed of 300mph, we’re in ‘world’s fastest convertible’ territory, alongside the Bugatti Mistral Roadster.
If you want one, you’ll need deep pockets - the price tag is set at $3 million and just 12 models will be produced. Oh, and they’re already all sold out.
Hennessey promises ‘improved agility, uncompromised handling, and higher downforce’ than the regular Venom F5, and it comes with bigger front and rear splitters and a distinctive rear wing, as well as retuned suspension, new wheels, and digital track telemetry.
It also boasts a removable, single-piece roof panel crafted from rigid carbon fibre composites and which weighs just 8 kg.
John Hennessey, company founder and CEO: "The new Venom F5 Revolution Roadster combines our track-focused hypercar with an open-top for an unmatched visceral driving experience. Our hypercar is a timeless work of art that is as visually inspiring as it is physically engaging, thanks to its 1,817-hp combustion-only twin-turbocharged V8."
