Audi launches Sportback version of electric Q6 e-tron

  • Coupe-styled Audi Q6 Sportback e-tron launched
  • Order books open November 21st
  • Slightly better EV range than the Audi Q6 SUV e-tron
  • Priced from £62,475

Audi has expanded its fully-electric Q6 e-tron range with the introduction of the coupe-shaped Q6 Sportback e-tron.

The new model joins the line-up alongside the more traditionally-shaped Q6 SUV e-tron with order books set to open this month.

You can already lease the Audi Q6 SUV e-tron with Select Car Leasing - so check out the latest deals here.

While the Q6 SUV e-tron gets a range of up to 392 miles between charges, the Q6 Sportback e-tron betters that - thanks to its more aerodynamic body - with a distance of up to 402 miles between trips to the plug.

Lease customers can expect a 511-litre boot (slightly down on the SUV e-tron’s luggage space, but not by much) as well as a 64-litre frunk if you tick the optional ‘Storage’ pack.

Audi reckons the styling is reminiscent of the legendary Audi TT Coupe with a ‘sloping roofline’ that ‘enhances its sporty aesthetics’.

There are four main powertrains underpinned by two different battery sizes.

The entry-level Q6 Sportback e-tron gets an 83 kWh battery, rear-wheel drive and 252 PS.

The rear-wheel drive Q6 Sportback e-tron performance is handed a larger 100kWh battery, power of 306 PS, and the ability to accelerate from 0-62 mph in 6.6 seconds. It’s this model that gets the max 402-mile range.

Moving another rung up the ladder, the all-wheel drive Audi Q6 Sportback e-tron quattro retains the 100 kWh battery and ups the power to 388 PS.

Meanwhile the range-topping Audi SQ6 Sportback e-tron (above) gets 490 PS and 0-62 mph sprint time of just 4.3 seconds, aided by all-wheel drive.

Rapid 260 kW charging can take the battery from 10 to 80 percent full in 22 minutes.

When it comes to trim levels, the base ‘Sport’ grade comes as standard with 19-inch alloys, an electric tailgate, black roof rails, heated leather sport seats in the front and heated outer seats in the back, heated steering wheel, a 14.5-inch touchscreen with 11.9-inch driver display, Audi’s ‘parking system plus’ with a 360° display, adaptive cruise control, lane change assist, a B&O sound system, augmented reality head up display, and a heat pump.

Moving up through the other grades - S line and Edition 1 - unlocks extras such as larger 20-inch alloys, sportier exterior styling and sport suspension.

Meanwhile the top spec Audi SQ6 Sportback e-tron UK enjoys adaptive air suspension, S exterior styling, a panoramic sunroof, and a Nappa leather interior.

Prices for the Audi Q6 Sportback e-tron begin at £62,475 to purchase outright.

Rivals will include everything from the Tesla Model Y Performance to the Polestar 4
