About the SEAT Ateca SUV
The SEAT Ateca first arrived in the UK back in 2016 and it was, at that point in time, SEAT’s first ever SUV.
The Ateca was launched to capitalise on the boom in hatchback-SUV crossovers, as it attempted to muscle-in on a lease market dominated by the likes of the Nissan Qashqai.
Based on the same platform as the SEAT Leon hatchback, the Ateca stands out from the pack thanks to its lithe handling and athletic dynamics.
And yet it’s just as practical as its rivals, coming with a large 510-litre boot and plenty of space in the back for rear passengers.
Why lease a SEAT Ateca SUV?
The Ateca excels at being both affordable and fun, coming with precise steering and little in the way of body roll through twisting corners.
The range of engines is refreshingly simple - there are just two to choose from, being either a 1.0-litre petrol with power of 110 PS, or a 1.5-litre petrol with increased power of 150 PS.
If you’re looking for a hybrid or plug-in hybrid SEAT SUV, you’ll need to look at the Tarraco instead.
Meanwhile six individual trim levels for the Ateca means you’ll be able to find the perfect lease car for you, based on your budget and needs.
Which SEAT Ateca powertrain is right for me?

The Ateca is powered by petrol, whichever variant you choose to lease. A 1.0 litre unit provides power of 110 PS and will return up to 44 mpg. A larger 1.5-litre petrol has power of 150 PS and fuel economy of up to 42 mpg.

Seat Ateca Frequently Asked Questions
Just because you need a family SUV, that doesn’t mean you can’t have a car that’s fun to drive. The Seat Ateca proves that with great aplomb, mixing engagement behind the steering wheel with a practical, affordable and stylish package. For many customers, this could be all the car they need, and it comes with a choice of punchy engines that won’t be overly thirsty for fuel.
One of the Ateca’s most appealing features is its price, which is very affordable compared to its rivals. But you can be especially sure of a good deal thanks to Select Car Leasing’s market-leading links with the automotive industry, which let us bring you the most competitive leasing rates and special offers in the UK. Check out the full list of Seat Ateca deals, and see which one model is best suited to you.
Many of the Ateca’s key features will also feature in several rival cars. It’s well-priced when it comes to monthly leasing rates. Its engines mix crisp performance with fuel frugality. It’s spacious enough for five and comes with a good choice of well-specced trim levels. But perhaps its biggest appeal is the feeling of agility it has, which most of the competition can’t get close to. It’s not just fun to drive for an SUV, it’s fun to drive, full-stop, with a feeling of composure through the bends and beautifully weighted steering. The only slight downside is a firm ride from the suspension, but it’s far short of uncomfortable.
The Seat Ateca was reviewed and tested by independent safety organisation Euro NCAP in 2016 and was given the maximum five-star score, although it’s worth pointing out that standards have moved on since then, and there are more modern, advanced competitors. However, all models get automatic emergency braking systems fitted as standard. The top-spec model also features a blind-spot warning system. When it comes to interior space, there’s plenty of headroom front and back, and solid but not class-leading legroom in the rear seats. The boot is nice and big – larger than most rivals – although again, there are a few other cars that have a bit more luggage room.
You’ve got six trim choices in the Ateca. The entry-level model is the SE, but it’s pretty well equipped, with features that include 17-inch alloy wheels, a wireless phone charger and LED headlights. Next up is the SE Technology, which rides on 18-inch wheels and has sat-nav and a DAB radio, while the sport FR gets more supportive sports seats, tinted rear windows and keyless entry. Next up is FR Sport, with a digital dashboard in place of analogue dials, 19-inch alloys and leather seats. There are also two Xperience models, which sit above the SE Technology model in the same way as the FR trims, but focus more on luxury than sportiness. The Xperience trim has a heated windscreen, a rear-view camera and microsuede-covered comfort front seats, while the Xperience Lux has leather seats, an electric bootlid and 19-inch wheels.
