The styling was also overhauled for 2024, with the Qashqai's imposing front end now mirroring the intricate detail of an ancient Japanese warrior's shield.

About the Nissan Qashqai

The Nissan Qashqai hit the UK’s roads for the first time in 2007 after going into production in late 2006.

Since then, as a versatile hatchback-SUV crossover, the Qashqai has been a popular alternative to the once-traditional family hatchback.

The Qashqai enjoyed a major revamp in 2024, arriving with sharp exterior styling and a front end that has been designed to resemble a shield once carried by an ancient Japanese warrior.

Meanwhile the refresh also ensures that the Qashqai remains well-equipped as standard, with entry-level models featuring 17-inch wheels, a 12.3-inch display, rear-view camera and rear sensors, and safety tech such as intelligent cruise control and lane departure prevention.

Why lease a Nissan Qashqai?

One of the main reasons to lease a Nissan Qashqai is that you’ll be following in the footsteps of so many other happy Qashqai customers.

The Qashqai has been a supremely popular car since it was first launched – and now, thanks to its latest overhaul in 2024, it’s better than ever.

Not only does it offer superb practicality at an affordable leasing price, but it's very comfortable. The Nissan makes driving effortless, and a choice of economical powertrains, including a unique and innovative hybrid model, backs it up.

The Qashqai is exceptionally safe, too, boasting plenty of driver assistance technology, achieving some of the highest overall safety ratings ever recorded. At the same time, the latest model has modernised looks, inside and out.

Which Nissan Qashqai fuel type is right for me?

The Qashqai isn’t available with diesel engines nowadays, but there’s still a choice of petrols and a hybrid.

Petrol

Two petrol engines are available, both of which are 1.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinders: the DIG-T 140 producing 140PS and the DIG-T 158 whipping up 158PS. Both have some mild-hybrid technology.

Hybrid

The 190PS e-POWER is a rare setup, comprising a 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol and an electric motor. But rather than the engine and motor combining as in most hybrids, the power unit isn't connected to the wheels, so it effectively acts as a generator to give life to the electric motor. In effect, it’s a self-charging hybrid, but not in the conventional sense. The e-POWER can also be equipped with all-wheel drive.

Which trim level should I lease?

There are five main trim levels on the latest Nissan Qashqai: Acenta Premium, N-Connecta,  N-Design, Tekna and Tekna+.

Acenta Premium

Acenta Premium

At this grade, the very latest models enjoy 17-inch alloy wheels, a 12.3-inch display, rear-view camera and rear sensors, rain-sensing wipers, and a full bank of safety tech that includes intelligent cruise control, intelligent rear automatic braking, and lane departure prevention.

N-Connecta

N-Connecta

The mid-range trim gets 18-inch alloys, an around-view monitor, increased phone connectivity for the infotainment system as well as Google services fully built in.

N-Design

N-Design

The N-Design grade adds larger 20-inch alloys, body-coloured lower bumpers, and two-tone paint, and LED sequential turn lights.

Tekna

Tekna

The Tekna grade features, among other things, glossy black bumpers, a 10.8-inch head-up display, and Nissan's 'ProPILOT Assist' tech, which combines adaptive cruise control with steering assistance to make highway driving more stress-free.

Tekna+

Tekna+

The top-of-the-range trim gets 20-inch alloys, quilted premium leather front seats with massage function, LED front fog lights and a Bose sound system. Plus, this grade receives an i-Key with driver seat and exterior mirror memory.

What vehicles are similar to the Nissan Qashqai that I should consider?

The Nissan Qashqai was one of the trailblazers in the crossover SUV market, but nowadays, it's saturated – and the competition is extremely strong. So, you might want to consider four alternatives: the Volkswagen Tiguan, the Skoda Karoq, Kia Sportage and the Honda CR-V.

Skoda Karoq Estate

Karoq Estate

Skoda’s Karoq is genuinely excellent, blending wholesome handling with a roomy interior and a very high level of ride comfort.

Volkswagen Tiguan Estate

Estate

The VW Tiguan is great to drive and sit in, with a spacious cabin, exemplary handling and a selection of good engines.

Kia Sportage SUV

SUV

The Kia Sportage is a delightful machine, offering a lovely interior and a spacious one, too. Plus, it's well-equipped, good to drive and tremendous value for money.

Audi Q3 Sportback

Sportback

The upmarket Audi Q3 is a true all-rounder, offering everyday practicality as well as surprising amounts of performance, with power of up to 245PS up for grabs.

Nissan Qashqai Review

There’s a strong argument to suggest the Nissan Qashqai is the most important family car of the 21st century. Launched back in 2008, it sparked the SUV revolution, dragging customers out of staid, conservative hatchbacks and into high-riding family crossovers.

Nissan Qashqai Frequently Asked Questions

The Nissan Qashqai is an excellent all-rounder, providing a pleasant and roomy interior with the practicality of an SUV at the leasing price of a small family hatchback. With dynamic looks, a choice of economical powertrains and even a unique hybrid system in its e-POWER model, there’s a worthwhile choice available to suit all budgets.

While Nissan prefers to focus on comfort over performance or handling prowess, the Qashqai is still enjoyable to drive, making light of demanding journeys. At the same time, its third-generation overhaul in 2024 has given it a new lease of life, with modernised looks and an overhauled interior that looks inviting and cosy.

With several trim levels on offer, plus a hybrid model, your choice will significantly influence the leasing price of a Nissan Qashqai. However, our prices are kept as low as possible thanks to our solid relationships with manufacturers.

The Nissan Qashqai was extensively tested by the safety specialists at Euro NCAP in 2021, earning a top five-star ranking. The vehicle also achieved the almost unheard-of feat of scoring over 90% in all three of the adult, child, and safety assist tests. That means the Qashqai comes bursting with safety technology, including a driver alertness monitor, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, and a blind spot intervention and warning system.

In addition, there's high beam assist, traffic sign recognition, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane intervention and intelligent cruise control. In terms of practicality, the Qashqai is a roomy vehicle with plenty of space inside, plus it has a generously sized boot.

Excellent service throughout the process. Sophia was great and always available. The portal makes the steps clear. There was a slight confusion on the day of delivery from the manufacturer and Sophia assisted immediately. Would recommend.
