About the Jaecoo 5 SUV
The Jaecoo 5 is a small SUV with big ambitions. It’s a smaller sibling to the larger Jaecoo 7 but adopts the same outdoor-focused approach when it comes to design.
It boasts an bold, upright silhouette, wide shoulders, and a ‘waterfall’ front grille with eye-catching vertical slots.
Chinese manufacturer Jaecoo says the 5’s body lines are ‘inspired by mountain ridges and dramatic natural landscapes’.
But while the exterior is rugged, the interior is refined, coming with creature comforts like a large portrait screen, a six-speaker Sony sound system, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Why lease the Jaecoo 5 SUV?
The Jaecoo 5 is available with a choice of two powertrains; a traditional petrol engine or with a fully-electric set-up. These pages are devoted to the petrol-powered Jaecoo 5.
A 1.6-litre petrol unit offers 147 PS and 275 Nm and is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The front-wheel drive platform has been specifically tuned to cope with the UK’s potholed roads.
A generous 480-litre boot expands to 1,180 litres with the rear seats folded flat while there’s room to accommodate five adults.
As Jaecoo points out, the 5 SUV is ready for everything, ‘from the school run to weekend escapes and everyday commuting needs’.

The entry-level Pure trim comes loaded with a large portrait touchscreen, a six-speaker Sony audio system, level 2 ADAS, six-way manually adjustable front seats, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Luxury
The Luxury grade adds extras such as heated and ventilated front seats, cooled wireless phone charging, an eight-speaker Sony sound system, ambient lighting, and a tilting and sliding sunroof.
