Our review reveals why the BMW M3 Touring is an ‘unqualified triumph’, a car which takes all the best bits from the M3 Saloon and adds practicality for busy families.
We’re open for business over Christmas! (We are closed Xmas, Boxing and New Year’s Days and from 2pm Xmas and New Year’s Eve)
The BMW M3 Competition Touring targets the sweet spot where blistering performance meets everyday practicality.
The traditionally-shaped BMW M3 is a high-performance saloon that has been dominating both the road and track since the 1980s.

Like the M3 saloon, the M3 Competition Touring offers four-wheel drive poise and potency, and a ‘race-car feeling with a distinctive character and immense versatility’, according to BMW.
It’s available with either a 3.0-litre straight-six petrol engine with peak power of 530 hp. That powertrain offers 650 Nm of torque and a 0-62mph acceleration time of just 3.6 seconds - which is on a par with the 470 hp Audi RS4 Avant estate.
The construction of the twin-turbo, straight-six petrol engine includes a rigid crankcase with a sleeve-free, closed-deck construction, a forged lightweight crankshaft and a cylinder head with a core manufactured using 3D printing.
And if you opt for the M Driver’s Package, the electronically-limited top speed jumps from 155 to 174mph.
A rapid-shifting, eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic comes as standard, as does electronically-controlled adaptive suspension.
The well-appointed cabin features leather sports seats, a curved glass display with 12.3 inch infotainment touchscreen, acoustic glazing for the windscreen, three-zone automatic climate control, and a premium surround sound system.
Style wise, lease customers can expect large air intakes, flared wheel arches and side skirts, and an M-specific front end adorning the aggressive exterior.
And in terms of practicality, the M3 Competition Touring features a large 500 litre boot which extends to 1,510 litres with the rear seats down.
