The A5 Saloon was born out of a naming convention overhaul by Audi in the middle of 2024, where vehicles with an even were destined for a fully-electric powertrain while those with an odd number were given traditional combustion engines.
The A5 Saloon is, to all intents and purposes, the Audi A4 repurposed and revitalised for the modern era. It also replaces the outgoing A5 Sportback hatchback in Audi’s line-up.
In Saloon form, the Audi A5 is desirable indeed, marrying all the sophistication and style of a swooping body style with the practicality of a hatchback rear end.
The Audi A5 Saloon is impressive from every angle, with a long wheelbase, powerful shoulders, and a low, sporting profile.
There’s also an Audi A5 Saloon lease to suit lots of different customers, with petrol and diesel engines available alongside powerful 367 PS ‘S’ variants.

The range-topping S5 Saloon is packing a 3.0-litre petrol V6 with power of 367 PS.
The base diesel engine - with MHEV Plus tech - delivers 204 PS and 400 Nm of torque and is available with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel ‘quattro ultra’.
The entry-level Sport trim unlocks 18-inch alloys, comfort suspension, a 14.5-inch infotainment screen with sat nav, wireless phone charging, heated seats in the front and a reversing camera. You can also expect safety tech such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, swerve assist and turn assist, and intersection assist.
The Audi A5 Saloon in S Line trim brings unique exterior styling, larger 19-inch alloys, sports suspension, privacy glass, a flattened steering wheel with shift paddles, and an uprated interior.
The Edition 1 variants boast 20-inch matt grey alloys, Matrix LED headlights, a dark chrome finish to the exhaust tailpipes, red painted brake calipers and an uprated interior with dinamica microfibre upholstery and a separate infotainment screen for the front passenger.
The Audi S5 Saloon enjoys power of 367 PS and can accelerate from 0-62 mph in just 4.5 seconds. The S5 Edition 1 models also come with unique 20-inch rims, S sports suspension with damper control, a panoramic sunroof, Bang & Olufsen premium sound system with 3D sound and integrated headrest speakers, and a Nappa leather cabin.
