Vauxhall has registered 3,254 of its all-electric Vivaro Electric van this year, making it the UK’s best-selling electric van.
The number of registrations published by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) puts Vauxhall ahead of its rivals, including Ford, with its impressive electric E-Transit.
The success of the Vivaro Electric has helped Vauxhall remain the country’s best-selling e-LCV manufacturer. Adding in traditional diesel-powered models, Vauxhall is the second biggest-selling LCV manufacturer, behind arch-rivals Ford.
James Taylor, managing director, Vauxhall:
“It’s fantastic to see the Vivaro Electric continue its strong sales performance this year, helping us maintain our position as the UK’s best-selling e-LCV manufacturer. As one of the few brands in the country that is able to offer fleets a fully electric van across its entire LCV model line-up, Vauxhall is leading the way towards electrifying Britain’s businesses.”
Vauxhall is building an electric future for itself, with the Vivaro Electric at the forefront. The manufacturer intends to offer an electrified variant across its entire model line-up by 2024, with a full-electric van range available from 2028.
