Vauxhall has hit the top spot again for electric light commercial vehicle (eLCV) sales, as figures show it outsold rivals for the fourth consecutive month.
Latest registration figures published by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders reveal that more than one-in-three electric van sales in the UK this year were produced by Vauxhall.
Across the first four months of the year, 36.6% of eLCV registrations were Vauxhall vans, with 2,344 of the brand’s electric models being delivered to new owners. The Vivaro Electric and Combo Electric were the UK’s best-selling eLCVs in April, with 557 and 178 units sold, respectively.
The Vivaro Electric remains the country’s best-selling eLCV, reaching sales of 1,794 in the first four months of the year. The Combo Electric lags some way behind its larger sibling, with just over 500 registrations so far this year.
Vauxhall continues to be one of just a handful of manufacturers which is able to offer fleets and businesses fully electric variants across its entire van model line-up, consisting of the Combo Electric, Vivaro Electric, and Movano Electric.
