This week’s Top 5 pick-up lease deals

Check out this week’s Top 5 pick-up lease deals - and bag yourself a bargain before the April 2025 deadline.

The legislation around pick-ups is changing.

From April 2025, double cab pick-ups are being reclassified as ‘cars’, as opposed to ‘commercial vehicles’, for tax purposes.

The current flat rate of tax in terms of Benefit in Kind (BIK) and Capital Allowances (CA) will move to an emissions-based model - and it means lease customers will pay more each month.

For a complete overview of the situation, read our brand new pick-up and BIK tax change guide and have a scroll through our news article which discusses the changes.

What does it all mean for the here and now?

We’re urging anyone interested in a pick-up lease to act fast and get your order in BEFORE April 2025 if you want to lock-in the more favourable tax rates until 2029.

To help you on your journey, here are some tantalising trucks to whet the appetite:

Ford Ranger | Tremor | £304.66 ex VAT*

The Ford Ranger was the UK’s best-selling pick-up in 2024, according to the latest industry data, while it also won a clutch of awards last year.

The mid-range ‘Tremor’ trim sits just behind Wildtrak models and aims to strike a balance between graft and style.

This deal is for an automatic model with a 10-speed gearbox and all-wheel drive while you also get aggressive exterior styling with large flared wheel arches.

Ford Ranger | Wildtrak | £397.21 ex VAT*

If you want something with a little more pizazz than the Ford Ranger in ‘Tremor’ trim, this Wildtrak variant should do the job.

Like the Tremor (above), you get a 10-speed automatic gearbox but the Wildtrak adds extras like unique exterior styling and larger 18-inch alloys.

The car-like cabin features creature comforts like a heated steering wheel and LED ambient lighting.

Maxus T90EV | £302.76 ex VAT*

You might not have considered a Maxus lease before - and you might not necessarily be in the market for an electric pick-up, either.

But the battery-powered Maxus T90EV is well worth a look, especially at this price.

You get a range of up to 205 miles between charges, a generous one tonne payload, and the hulking T90EV is an imposing presence on the road.

The cabin is equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, rear view camera, and faux leather upholstery.

KGM Musso | Saracen | £347.04 ex VAT*

In case you’re not already familiar, KGM is the new name for Korean firm SsangYong following a major rebrand last year.

The Musso model has simply been carried over - and it still represents incredible value in the UK pick-up leasing market.

This deal is for a top-spec, all-wheel drive Saracen model that comes with 18-inch black alloys, heated and ventilated front seats, and luxurious Nappa leather upholstery.

A 1,095 kg payload isn’t to be sniffed at, either.

VW Amarok | Life | £411.24 ex VAT*

The Ranger and the Amarok share the same underpinnings, thanks to a unique relationship between Ford and VW.

But there are subtle differences and you might prefer that Volkswagen badge to Ford’s Blue Oval.

This deal is for an entry-level ‘Life’ model which gets 17-inch alloys, a rear-view camera, and VW’s go-anywhere 4MOTION all-wheel drive system.

*Prices exclude VAT. Credit is Subject to Status, Ts and Cs and Arrangement Fees apply. Excess mileage may apply. Stock levels and prices correct as of 17/01/25.
