Stellantis van sales more than doubled in July compared to those of the same month last year. Stellantis — the parent company of Citroen, Fiat, Peugeot and Vauxhall— recorded sales of 8,510 vans through the month, up from 3,700 in July 2022. This 130% increase bagged the French firm almost a third of the UK light commercial vehicle (LCV) market.
Stellantis dominated the compact van market, with the Peugeot Partner topping the sales charts, and the Citroen Berlingo and Vauxhall Combo falling into second and third place. With 9,218 vans sold between January and July, according to figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, the Citroen Berlingo is the best-selling small LCV of the year so far.
With 3,664 of its new vans being registered for the year to date, Vauxhall remains the best-selling LCV brand. That holds for electric vans, too, with 575 Vivaro Electric all-electric models finding new homes in July, taking the total to 2,964 new vehicles so far in 2023. That strong result means that more than one in four of all new electric vans sold this year is a Vivaro.

“It’s a significant achievement that more than a quarter of electric vans sold in the UK this year is a Vivaro Electric, highlighting the model’s versatility and continued popularity with private buyers and businesses of all sizes looking to electrify their fleets.”
