The prestigious Van of the Year title 2025 has been awarded to Renault’s new Master by the International Van of the Year (IVOTY) jury at this month’s IAA Transportation show in Hanover, Germany.
The award marks the fifth win for Renault’s commercial vehicles.
The innovative Aerovan design and multi-energy platform of the new Renault Master, with internal combustion engines alongside electric and hydrogen powertrains, impressed the judging panel.
The vehicle's versatility, increased usability, advanced aerodynamics, and enhanced efficiency set the Master above its rivals. The jury, representing 25 European countries, unanimously praised the model's forward-thinking design and technological advancements.
Jarlath Sweeney, Chairman of the IVOTY jury, commended Renault for creating a future-proof vehicle that’s adaptable to modern demands.
Heinz-Jürgen Löw, SVP at Renault LCVs, said: “This is a wonderful reward and a true tribute to all the teams who worked on this project. New Master is a perfect example of what has made Renault’s light commercial vehicles amazing for more than 120 years: they are innovative, disruptive, multi-energy and designed to be customised in practically endless ways to meet each of our professional customers’ individual wants and needs.”
This win follows hot on the heels of another Renault success: the Scenic E-Tech electric was announced as the 2025 Car of the Year in February.
This dual success echoes Renault’s achievements almost thirty years ago when the Renault Scenic and Renault Master also won their respective awards.
