Peugeot is electrifying the nation’s roads, delivering more than 1,000 battery-powered vans in the UK this year. This makes it the largest electric van supplier in the UK, with more than half of all electric vans registered in February being from the French firm.
Peugeot, along with its partner companies at Citroen and Vauxhall, provides a complete range of electric vans, starting with the compact e-Partner, through the medium-size e-Expert and on to the large e-Boxer. Each model makes no compromise in terms of useful volume or practicality compared with the diesel versions, thanks to the clever packaging of the battery packs and electric motor.
Each of the vans also offers the benefits of electric motoring, including lower running costs, ease of driving, immediate throttle response, high torque and the absence of noise, vibrations, odours and tailpipe emissions. Strong residual values also ensure that leasing rates are competitive, with customers also seeing a reduction in monthly fees thanks to the availability of the government’s recently-extended plug-in van grant.
Julie David, Managing Director, Peugeot UK, said:
“It’s great to see the excellent results across our passenger car and commercial vehicle ranges this month. We’re very proud to be one of the few on the market that can offer customers a fully-electric variant of every model in our LCV range, and it’s great that so many customers are seeing the benefits of switching. We hope to continue this momentum into the last month of the quarter.”
