A brand-new pick-up is making its way to the UK - the affordable, diesel-powered Maxus T60 Max.
Chinese manufacturer Maxus already offers a pick-up to Brit lease customers in the form of the fully-electric T90 EV.
The incoming T60 Max, on the other hand, is packing a more traditional 2.0-litre diesel and will go up against pick-up heavyweights like the Ford Ranger, VW Amarok, Toyota Hilux and the KGM Musso.

It’s priced from £34,995 to buy outright, which makes it a shade cheaper than the Ford Ranger in popular ‘Tremor’ trim.
At that price point, the T60 needs to be well-equipped in order to compete with the best in the business - so we’re glad to report that it is.
All-wheel drive comes as standard, the diesel engine produces a healthy 215 PS, and 500 Nm of torque is on a par with the equivalent Ford Ranger.
There’s a 1,050 kg payload, a 3,500 kg towing capacity and a rear differential lock.
And the T60 will initially be available in just one trim level - ‘Max’ - which simplifies your options and means the pick-up is positively loaded with kit right from the off.
Lease customers will enjoy a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, twin 12.3-inch screens, heated leather seats, a heated steering wheel, and wireless phone charging.

There’s also a full suite of driver assistance and safety tech, including adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking.
Maxus says the T60 is a pick-up that’s ‘perfect for work or play’. And you’ll be able to lease one imminently with Select Van Leasing, with deliveries set to begin in February next year.
