The Renault Kangoo van is getting a number of useful specification enhancements, while those opting for the Kangoo E-Tech pure electric models will also benefit from a lower starting price.
Most things have stayed the same on the outside, but the Renault logo on the front of the van has been given a makeover. A modern interpretation of the classic diamond emblem sits boldly in the centre of the updated grille.
Across the Kangoo range, more equipment has been fitted as standard. A new 4.2-inch colour driver information display is now included on every model, along with an electric parking brake, automatic high beam assist and a rear parking camera.
There’s also automatic headlights and wipers, air conditioning, electric front windows, and cruise control with speed limiter. Bluetooth, USB and smartphone connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are available via the 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is also home to the DAB radio.
There are some safety upgrades for the 2024 Kangoo, too. Passenger, lateral, and curtain airbags are now fitted as standard across the range, and driver attention and drowsiness warnings, intelligent speed assist, and traffic sign recognition are now all standard. In higher trim level models, 360-degree parking sensors and blind spot intervention are also included.
The petrol and diesel-powered range now starts at £20,250, excluding VAT and fees. Power options include a 1.3-litre petrol engine or a choice of two 1.5-litre diesel units, with outputs ranging from 95 to 115hp.
The Kangoo E-Tech, powered by a 120hp electric motor and providing a range of 186 miles, now starts from £29,850 before the government’s plug-in van grant and any applicable fees and taxes.
