In what seems to be an unlikely pairing, Iveco has joined forces with iconic rock band Metallica, supporting heavy metal stalwarts as they embark on their M72 World Tour.
The collaboration aims to highlight sustainability and alternative fuels, something that the band is passionate about. With Iveco taking up a supporting role as Metallica rock their way across Europe, the band, equipment and entourage will be transported in a fleet of Iveco’s electric and natural gas trucks and minibuses as they head to Munich, Helsinki, Madrid and beyond.
“The launch of Iveco’s 2024 full range is a unique milestone in our history that opens an exciting chapter powered by our new energy,” Luca Sra, the maestro at the helm of Iveco’s Truck Business Unit, explained. “There could be no better time to announce a truly electrifying partnership. We are very happy to go ‘down the highway’ with this amazing band and crew onboard our alternative propulsion vehicles, driven by our shared vocation for supporting sustainable communities and pushing the boundaries for a better world.”
Iveco’s S-eWay and S-Way trucks will be transformed into Metallica Special Edition models, decked out in a bold rock & roll livery. The body will be matte black with dramatic yellow finishing, and the Metallica logo will be emblazoned across the front grille, providing as much visual impact as the band will with volume. Also sporting the Metallica make-over, the eDaily and Daily Natural Gas minibuses will be on hand to shuttle the crew around.
Iveco and Metallic are set to work in perfect harmony, with Iveco’s commitment to eco-friendly transport syncing with the aspirations of Metallica’s “All Within My Hands” foundation, which is committed to creating sustainable communities. Coming together, they are putting sustainability at centre stage and supporting communities, education, and disaster relief.
