Here’s your first look at the facelifted new Volvo XC60 - with the SUV now boasting sharper styling borrowed from the swankier XC90.
The XC60 is Volvo’s best-selling vehicle, with more than 1.5 million sold across the globe.
An updated XC60 is now on the way promising improvements across the board - and it’ll make the family-sized favourite even more appealing.
While full UK details are still to be revealed, you can see from these pics that the subtly-honed new XC60 now adopts the same design cues from the more premium (and also recently updated) Volvo XC90.
There’s a more dynamic and ‘contemporary’ looking front grille as well as new wheel options and darker rear lights.
You’ll also be able to lease the Volvo XC60 in three new colour shades - Forest Lake, Aurora Silver, and Mulberry Red.
There are more significant changes in the cabin.
You’ll now enjoy a larger 11.2-inch, free-standing central touchscreen while the infotainment system - with Google built in - is more than ‘twice as fast as the outgoing system’, Volvo tells us, with 10 times faster graphics generation.
The pixel density is increased by 21 per cent, resulting in an even crisper display.
All of that, Volvo tells us, will help to reduce driver distraction while enhancing safety.
The interior has also been treated to new materials, such as Quilted Nordico and Navy Herringbone Weave.
Meanwhile improved noise reduction - and the option of laminated windows - should also make the XC60 a more pleasant place to enjoy a road trip.
Erik Severinson, Chief Product and Strategy Officer at Volvo Cars, said: “With its cutting-edge user experience, modernised Scandinavian design, improved comfort and even more luxurious interior, the XC60 sets the standard even higher for mid-size SUVs.”
