Take a seat and relax into the EM90 - a new fully-electric MPV from Volvo that’s being described as a ‘Scandinavian living room’ on wheels!
The EM90 is being teased ahead of a full reveal later this month.
Volvo says it's a ‘moving space where you can just be you’, a ‘place where you can connect with your loved ones, create, relax, work or just think’.
So, it’ll be a premium product that’ll compete with upmarket people-movers like the Lexus LM (below) or the Maxus Mifa 9.
You can expect luxury lounge seats with ‘zero-gravity’ cushions, a panoramic sunroof with a ‘Northern Lights’ ambient lighting setting, and acres of legroom.
Sophie Li, Head of Design at the Volvo Design Studio in Shanghai, China, said: “When designing the EM90, we focused on creating a room of personal comfort and an experience that emphasises travelling in style and elegance. In creating the EM90 interior, we focused on a car that works just as well when you’re on the move for work as when you travel with your family. This was an exciting assignment for the entire design team.”
The EM90 will be a car that’ll appeal to chauffeur-driven business people as well as families.
It’s a six-seater with entertainment screens for all. And everything has been designed to help calm your mind, including the back-lit wood panels that mimic ‘light shining through a bamboo forest’.
The Volvo EM90 will be available to Chinese customers first, before the MPV is rolled-out globally.
There’s no indication just yet about what battery, or range, the electric EM90 might enjoy, but we’ll bring you that news when it arrives.
In the meantime, we’ve got plenty of electric MPVs to lease right now, including the Volkswagen ID. Buzz, which can be lease from £687 per month*.
