If you’re in the market for a funky compact SUV, we have good news - because the improved and updated Volkswagen T-Cross has now officially arrived!
The T-Cross is actually the most affordable SUV in VW’s range, proving more wallet-friendly than the coupe-styled Taigo and the larger T-Roc.
And VW has treated its versatile family car to a facelift, fresh for 2024. You can lease the latest model with Select Car Leasing from just £248 per month*.
So, what’s new?
There’s sharper exterior styling, complete with new integrated LED headlights, LED daytime running lights and LED tail light clusters. VW’s IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights are also up for grabs as an option for the first time.
A free-standing 8-inch infotainment touchscreen is now standard, and the entire dash panel has been tweaked to provide a more premium feel, borrowing soft-touch materials from models higher up the VW pecking order.
The T-Cross remains as versatile as ever, with plenty of room for occupants in the back. It still comes with a rear bench seat that can be slid forwards and backwards by 140 mm, toggling the boot capacity between 385 and 455 litres.
A removable towbar is an option, with the load now increasing from 55 to 75 kg - perfect if you’re planning to put a bike carrier on the back, for example.
Meanwhile the new T-Cross is equipped with VW’s ‘Travel Assist’ as standard - which can automatically control the acceleration and braking for you, while also keeping an eye on speed limits, bends and roundabouts. You also get tech that’ll keep the T-Cross safe in its lane.
Each and every T-Cross is powered by a 1.0 litre TSI petrol engine, with power of either 95 PS, 115 PS or 150 PS. You can also opt for a seven-speed DSG gearbox.
The trim levels run from Life through to Style and the range-topping R-Line.
And those entry-level Life variants also feature creature comforts like front and rear parking sensors, roof rails, and full wireless Apple CarPlay Android Auto connectivity.
As a rival to lease cars like the Nissan Juke, Renault Captur and Peugeot 2008, the VW T-Cross is well worth a look.
