The company was founded by two men and their love for the car industry. Mark started his motor trade career in 1994 working as a Sales Exec for the Reg Vardy Group, who were the largest retailer of cars in Europe. He progressed to Retail Business Manager before taking a sideways move into Corporate Sales and heading up the Business Centre.
In 2004, Mark left to set up Select Contracts with business partner James OMalley and in 2010 they launched UK Car Contracts to run alongside. Although now retired from competitive Sunday League football, Mark enjoys his weekly fix of 5-a-side, as well as playing Snooker and occasionally Tennis.
James has now been in the motor trade for almost 20 years. Firstly with Reg Vardy in Retail Sales, then to the Local Business development capacity. In 2004, James left to set up Select Contracts with Mark and in 2010 they launched UK Car Contracts to run alongside the existing company. James is also currently working in property development and this takes up much of his spare time, along with his 3 dogs.
Since starting out we have been based in our hometown of Reading, moving from our first office into a larger office on the same road. We are now regarded as one of the UK's leading independent specialists for business and personal contract hire. Working closely with manufacturers, large motor groups and the most prominent finance & leasing companies, we are able to offer some of the most competitive contract hire rates in the market place today.
