We are delighted to announce Select Car Leasing as the Principal Partner of Reading Football Club, in what represents a record commercial deal for the Royals.
The UK’s leading independent car and van leasing specialists, Select have pledged their support to their local club by committing to a multi-year front-of-shirt sponsorship deal, beginning with the 150th anniversary campaign in 2021-22.
A True Local Partnership
Strengthening the bond between the club and locally based businesses is a key element in the club’s ongoing commercial strategy, building long term relationships with local enterprise and Berkshire-based industry leaders.
Locally grown in Reading since 2004, Select Car Leasing are an ideal fit, now employing over 250 people at the head office at Green Park as well as across multiple representative offices spread around the UK including in both Scotland and Wales.
As part of this new long-term partnership, Select Car Leasing will see their branding emblazoned on the front of our first team and Academy shirts for the next three campaigns, featuring on all replica adult and junior kit as well as the club’s official training wear until 2024.
Grassroots Commitment to Reading FC
Having partnered with the club since 2015, Select will also demonstrate a renewed commitment to their local side by agreeing to give money back to the club’s Academy programme when any Royals fan leases a vehicle from the company, as well as donating match tickets to local grassroots clubs for every single home match throughout the next three seasons.
Supporters can also expect to see Select Car Leasing branding feature on our social media channels, run along the LED boards surrounding the perimeter of the pitch and promoted across our Stadium when fans return to cheer on their team this season.
Directors of Select Car Leasing, James O’Malley and Mark Tongue, are both lifelong supporters and current Season Ticket Holders at the club. “As a local company we’ve been in partnership with Reading Football Club for nearly six years now but, as fans ourselves, it’s long been an ambition and a dream of ours to have much greater involvement with the club as well as supporting the local community,” Tongue said.
