French manufacturer Renaults two new 2017 models - five-seater Scenic and seven-seater Grand Scenic are exclusively available on order from 1st December.

Following Geneva motor show unveiled earlier, Renault have finally announced the full pricing and specification details of its two new family-friendly cars. They are a fourth generation model which is offered in a choice of four trim levels: Expression , Dynamique Nav, Dynamique S Nav and Signature Nav.
Design and interior practicality
The new Scenic family has received a new look with a lower roofline, longer wheelbase and shorter rear overhang than previous models; offering a sportier appearance that shares strong influences from the Kadjar SUV.
Its less a MPV and more family-focused SUV crossover where all the models will get large 20inch alloy wheels. Both the Scenic and Grand Scenic models look very similar apart from rear larger light clusters and a re-profiled tailgate window.
Renault offers two choices where people can choose their car based on their personal needs; this choice is between the five seater Scenic and seven seater Grand Scenic.
The Grand Scenic offers a one touch button to fold the seats for a flat floor for loading.

Specification and features
Renault is for the first time offering active emergency braking with pedestrian detection coming as standard with all Scenic models. Other equipment such as lane departure warning, auto high beams, traffic sign recognition, LED daytime running lights, climate control, auto wipers, auto lights, DAB radio, a leather steering wheel and a seven-inch touchscreen also come as a standard in all the Scenic models.
Both the Scenic and Grand Scenic models have successfully achieved the full five-star safety ratings thanks to its passive and active safety features including hill start assist, stability control, electronic brake-force distribution and many more.
The basic entry level model Expression comes with the latest passive and active safety features along with 4*20W DAB radio, leather steering wheel, and a seven-inch touchscreen.
The Dynamique Nav model adds front and rear parking sensors and a hands-free key card with walkway lock. Renaults multi-sense systems enable drivers to personalise their driving experience to select between five modes to alter the driving set up. It also offers 13 litres of storage with four USB ports and AUX input, DAB radio and a seven-inch touchscreen with satellite navigation with live traffic updates and western European mapping.
The Dynamique S Nav adds an 8.7-inch portrait touchscreen, a BOSE 11 speaker sound system, an extra tinted windows and much more. Whereas the top range Signature NAV has the addition of a NAPPA leather steering wheel with carbon black leather upholstery, front fog lights and full LED headlights with a See me home follow function.
Engine details
There are currently five engines available including two manual/petrols a 1.2 litre 115hp & 1.2 litre 130hp. The diesel engines on offer also give you a choice of manual and automatic drivetrain with a 1.5 litre 110hp, 1.6 litre 130hp and 1.5 litre 160hp.
Renault are also planning to introduce a hybrid version of the Scenic family from Spring 2017 and this will be powered by a 1.5 litre 110hp diesel engine combined with an electric motor. It will offer class-leading fuel economy of 80.7mpg and CO2 emissions of 92g/km.
Pricing and release date
The Scenic and Grand Scenic are exclusively available on order from 1st of December 2016 with pricing starts from £21,445 for the Scenic Expression model. Customer deliveries to be made in January 2017.
