Jeep is preparing to launch what will be its most powerful car - the fully-electric Wagoneer S.
The battery-powered SUV will go on sale in the US this spring before making its way to all ‘key markets’ around the world in 2025 - so, presumably, the UK.
And with power of 600 hp and a 0-62mph time of just 3.5 seconds the Jeep Wagoneer S will give some supercars a run for their money.
That acceleration time means it’ll be quicker off the mark than a Porsche Taycan GTS.
And it’ll also make mincemeat of the most potent Jeep currently available, with the iconic Wrangler (below) coming with power of 268 bhp.
Like most other Jeeps, the Wagoneer S should be a capable off-roader, coming with the manufacturer’s all-terrain management system.
A Jeep spokesperson adds: “Driven by aerodynamic efficiency, its sleek exterior design is uniquely marked by a reimagined LED-lit class-exclusive seven-slot Jeep brand grille.”
And that’s about all we know so far, but we’ll bring you further updates as and when we get them.
