Luxury Spanish brand Hispano Suiza is making jaws drop the world over as it continues to showcase its super-exclusive, all electric Carmen Boulogne hypercar.
The ‘Boulogne’ model is an even pricier, even rarer version of the already-scarce Hispano Suiza Carmen.
Just 20 models of the ‘regular’, 1,005 hp Carmen were produced, with a hefty price tag of around £1,280,00 each.
The blacked-out Carmen Boulogne, however, is ‘the sportiest and most exclusive version of the Carmen model’, says Hispano Suiza. There's also a definite whiff of 'Batmobile' about it.
You might have spotted it at last month’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, and it’s now making its way to August’s Monterey Car Week event in California, USA.
Limited to just five production models, the Carmen Boulogne has increased power of 1,100 hp, thanks to its four electric motors, and can whistle from 0-62 mph in just 2.6 seconds.
If you plan on getting your hands on one of these beasts you’ll need a cool £1.65 million!
Hispano Suiza, meanwhile, is like an old Spanish wine - rich with history and getting better with age.
Born in Barcelona in 1904, it's a family-run business now in its fourth generation. Hispano Suiza is also part of the Peralada Group, a luxury empire that includes casinos, restaurants, hotels, golf courses, vineyards, and even music festivals.
If you’re looking to lease an electric vehicle with decent performance but which WON’T break the bank, remember to check out the sporty new version of the affordable MG4 EV.
The all-wheel drive MG4 XPOWER has 429 hp on tap and can shift from 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds.
Unlike the Hispano Suiza Carmen Boulogne, though, you can lease one from just £345 quid per month*.
