The perfect Christmas gifts for petrolheads

These are the most eye-catching Christmas gifts for motoring fanatics this Christmas.

From Bentley aftershave to McLaren holiday luggage, these presents will put a smile on the face of anyone lucky enough to unwrap them.

Some of them don’t, however, come cheap - anyone for a novelty Ferrari festive jumper costing £490 quid..?

If you’re short of ideas, and if you’ve got deep pockets in some cases, read on:

Bentley Momentum Unbreakable fragrance

(starting at £69.50)

Inspired by the ‘stone veneer’ interior finish of a Bentley, this sumptuous bottle of scent is as well-designed as the cars.

As for how it smells, Bentley says the ‘Momentum Unbreakable Eau de Parfum’ is specially-made for discerning blokes.

A spokesperson adds:

“Spicy with facets of liquorice, dried fruit and amber, immortelle warms the heart of Momentum Unbreakable, introducing the notes that make the scent’s sexy masculine signature: a rich, warm palette of woods.”

McLaren CX6TM travel collection by TUMI

(starting at £895)

Heading to visit the in-laws this Christmas? You’ll need some swanky bags in that case.

And what better way to travel than with the McLaren CX6TM collection of luggage and travel accessories?

A McLaren spokesperson tells us:

“Fusing McLaren’s signature carbon fibre material with TUMI’s formidable craftsmanship, this collection encompasses the revolutionary DNA of both brands in the ultimate marriage of intelligent innovation and conscious design.”

Ferrari Christmas jumper

(£490)

Head to the Ferrari store and you’ll find lots of holiday gift ideas.

But the standout for us is the ‘Jacquard wool jumper with Prancing Horse motif’.

It costs £490, so don’t spill Guinness on it at the work Christmas party.

If the colour of the jumper doesn’t match your eyes, a Ferrari scarf is just £250.

Lamborghini Lego

(£357)

You might not let the kids get anywhere near this present - because the super-cool Lamborghini special edition Lego set is a pricey one.

The model here is the Lamborghini Sian FKP 37, a hypercar unveiled back in 2019 and which represents the Italian firm’s first hybrid production vehicle.

Mercedes-Benz car air freshener

(£59)

Forget the tree-shaped car freshener you pick up from the garage - you can make your car smell truly luxurious with this fancy perfume.

It’s called ‘Nightlife Mood’, and smells of ‘cardamom, galbanum, nutmeg, peppermint, pink pepper, geranium’ - and with hints of cognac.

The Mercedes-Benz store website states:

“The winning composition of touch, smell, looks, comfort, sound and style adds to the feeling of enjoyment behind the wheel and the general sense of well-being on board. Step inside and feel an instant affinity to the vehicle's character.”

Miniature BMW M8 Coupe

(£434)

This limited edition scale model comes on an imitation leather plate and with an acrylic box.

Just 500 of the mini M8s have been made.

And if you’ve already got an M8 on your drive, this shrunken version should take pride of place on your desk.

Porsche Christmas jumper

(£81)

Well done to the Porsche store, because this Chrimbo sweatshirt is actually reasonably-priced (see Ferrari, above)!

Other Xmas gifts from the good people in Stuttgart include a calendar (£46) and even an Xmas mug (£23).

Of course, the prezzie you really want is the ‘911 Soundbar’ home audio system.

It’s made from an original 992 GT3 exhaust system - and costs £9,100.

Tesla Christmas jumper

(£65)

Another sensibly-priced Xmas jumper, this one from Tesla.

The Tesla shops states:

“Whether you've been naughty or nice this year, our limited-edition Model X-mas Sweater will keep you warm all season long. With a festive pattern featuring the S3XY vehicle lineup, Supercharger, lightning bolt silhouette and Tesla wordmark, this hand-linked knit is the perfect addition to any holiday gathering.”

There’s also a £150 ‘Tesla and Chill’ blanket, perfect for those cosy cuddles on the couch.
