As if the Bentley Bentayga wasn’t already luxurious, this new ‘Azure’ model takes things to a whole new level.
The Extended Wheelbase SUV - part of the British firm’s ‘Riviera Collection’ - isn’t just inspired by modern sailing yachts, it also boasts the sort of advanced comfort seats used in private jets.
Bentley describes the addition as ‘the most advanced airline seat specification ever fitted to a car’ and which sets a ‘new standard for luxury SUVs’.
The seats themselves are 22-way adjustable and feature climate sensing wizardry, while the cabin itself is swathed in ‘Diamond Illumination’ ambient lighting and the sort of upholstery only the exceedingly well-heeled get to experience.
A Bentley spokesperson enthuses: “The new Pale Pinstripe Veneer, inspired by the light teak decks of luxury yachts, adds a fresh, contemporary aesthetic to the interior. Special Riviera Collection ‘knot’ embroidery on the headrests and ‘Azure’ embroidery on the seat backs in Autumn accents underscore this collection's attention to detail and exclusivity.”
There are loose cushions, bespoke Riviera foot rests, power close doors, and a top-of-the-range Bang&Olufsen sound system. You also get a set of screens for entertainment purposes in the rear.
The Bentayga EWB Azure’s exterior features a Mediterranean-inspired ‘Aegean Blue’ paint scheme as well as 22-inch alloys.
The Azure is powered by a traditional 4.0-litre V8 with 543 bhp and which can see you accelerating from 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds.
Bentley is coy about pricing, but you can expect to pay anywhere from £250,000 for the privilege of driving one.
