Live your Barbie dream with these hot pink cars - which you can enjoy here in the UK.
The new Barbie movie has stormed the box office in recent days, raking-in £18.5m in Britain during its opening weekend.
And the flick, directed by Greta Gerwig and starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, could spark a new trend for motorists seeking-out cars with a Barbie-themed paint scheme.
That’s according to Select Car Leasing, and we've put together a list of the pink and rose-gold coloured cars you can drive right now.
According to stats revealed by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) earlier this year, pink was one of the least popular paint options in 2022, recording less than 1% of all registrations. Pink tinted vehicles also tallied their lowest number since 2009.
But Graham Conway, Managing Director at Select Car Leasing, suggests pink cars could well enjoy a resurgence caused by the Barbie phenomenon.
He says: “Pink is certainly a niche colour here in the UK, and it’s a shade typically seen on cars that have been resprayed or wrapped, rather than leaving the factory wearing that particular shade. But there are a small number of cars available to lease right now that wear their pink tone with pride. Some or unmistakably ‘pink’, others tone-down the pinkness with a ‘rose gold’ colour. And with Barbie proving so successful, pink colour cars may well enjoy a renaissance over the coming months.”
Here’s Select Car Leasing’s pick of the UK’s best pink paint options:
Porsche Taycan
This popular - and powerful - electric Porsche Taycan is available with a glowing ‘Frozen Berry’ paint scheme.
Alpine A110 Coupe
The A110 is a stunning sports car from Alpine, Renault’s performance division, and which can be ordered in eye-catching ‘Heather Pink’.
Fiat 500 Electric
The iconic Fiat 500 is known for its timeless style. And the Fiat 500 Electric - which has a range of up to 199 miles between charges - can be enjoyed in ‘Metallic Rose Gold’.
Bentley Continental GT
Bentley’s Continental GT is the epitome of an opulent grand tourer. The GT in ‘Passion Pink’ is as eye-catching as it gets.
Porsche 911
How do you turn even more heads in a Porsche 911? Opt for one with a ‘Rubystar Neo’ paint scheme, that’s how!
Ford Puma
The Ford Puma SUV-hatchback crossover is the best-selling car of the year so far, according to industry data. For Barbie fans, it’s best-enjoyed as the ‘Vivid Ruby’ special edition.
Lamborghini Huracan
If you drive a Lambo, you want to stand out from the crowd. And there’s no better way than with the firm’s drool-inducing ‘Viola Bast’ paint option, which is available on the Huracan supercar.
Maserati Grecale
In October last year, Maserati joined forces with toy-maker Mattel to launch the ultra limited edition ‘Barbie Maserati Grecale’.
