Audi has given a nip and tuck to its A6 and A7 models, with restyled front and rear ends as well as more kit as standard across the range.
The A6 - available as a saloon or estate - has long been the go-to car for busy execs, going up against the BMW 5 Series and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
The A7, on the other hand, is unique in that it gets a ‘sportback’ hatch at the rear that makes light work of stashing golf clubs and luggage for those long weekends away.
A new update now means the A6 and the A7 are even more tempting to lease, with Audi updating the styling of both while offering more bang for your monthly buck.
As of June this year, the trim levels of both the A6 and the A7 will be condensed into just three ‘core’ options - Sport, S line and Black Edition.
Matrix LED headlights with dynamic front and rear indicators, electric seats with memory driver function, the Audi phone box light, the Audi App store, and safety-boosting camera-based traffic sign recognition, are ALL now standard across every model.
When it comes to how the cars look, there’s a new singleframe honeycomb front grille, which is finished in dark chrome on the Sport model. There are also new side air intakes and a redesigned diffuser at the rear.
The S line variants get chrome inserts on the grille and new diffuser blades. Meanwhile the S line A6 also enjoys widened side sills, 19 inch wheels, and sport suspension.
There are a few tweaks in the cabin, too, with the steering wheel now featuring contrasting stitching and the footrest and pedals being stainless steel.
Of course, there are performance versions of the A6 and the A7, in the form of the S6 and S7, and these two have also been given a makeover, largely thanks to a fresh front grille.
An Audi spokesperson adds: “Elsewhere, the lineup for the performance-focussed S models has also been revised with the entry point starting with Black Edition. Vorsprung remains the flagship specification.”
With the regular A6 and A7, an optional ‘Technology Pack’ brings a top-notch Bang & Olufsen sound system, ambient lighting, a 360-degree camera with top view, Park Assist with Parking aid plus and a Head-up display.
There’s also a pricier ‘Technology Pack Pro’, which adds goodies like four-zone climate control, heated rear seats, and a panoramic sunroof.
