The all-new luxurious Q8 concept is going to launch sometime in 2018.

The new Audi Q8 shares similar design and dimensions to the current Audi Q7. Dimensions wise, its 5.02 metres long with a three metres wheelbase to offer plenty of space for passengers and luggage. Design wise, the Q8 concept features a coupe-like slopping roofline with four seats at the back. However, the production version is expected to be a five seat layout.

It will also offer a bigger boot of 630 litre space which is 50 litres more than BMW X6. The Q8 will also have a spacious interior with “four equally comfortable seats”.

Despite the sloping, coupe-like roofline, even the rear-seat passengers enjoy ample head and shoulder room. The Q8 drives on big 23-inch alloy wheels and includes carbon ceramic brakes.

Luxurious interior highlights large touchscreens

The control concept uses large touchscreens in the cockpit and is rounded out by an expanded version of the Audi virtual cockpit and a contact-analogue head-up display. The latter uses intelligent augmented reality technology that merges both the real and the virtual worlds.

The interior also has a 12.3 inch TFT display which offers two different modes to choose from: Auto and Performance. Using Auto mode, it displays generous space for maps, lists and additional information & the Performance model provides both a speedometer and power meter in a three dimensional display.

Drives with hybrid engine

The Q8, thanks to a hybrid engine, will be one of the most powerful and green SUVs available. It comes with the Quattro all-wheel drive system fitted as standard on all Q8 models offering maximum grip when accelerating hard on slippery road surfaces.
