- Hybrid variant of Alfa Romeo Junior set for UK launch
- Ibrida model to arrive in 2025
- Joins existing fully-electric variants
- Price and spec still to be confirmed
A new hybrid variant of the Alfa Romeo Junior is set to go on sale next year and will sit besides fully-electric variants in the Italian firm’s range.
The Alfa Romeo Junior was launched as a fully-electric hatchback back in June of this year.
It’s a car that has been well received, boasting sharp styling and agile handling while range-topping Veloce models offer power of 280 hp.

Now Alfa Romeo has confirmed that a hybrid variant, called the Ibrida, will enter the fray in 2025 - in a similar fashion to how we saw hybrid launches of the Fiat 600 and Jeep Avenger following a fully-electric launch.
The Junior Ibrida offers a 136hp 48-V Hybrid powertrain underpinned by a 1.2-litre petrol engine, a 48-volt lithium-ion battery and a 21-kW electric motor.
Just as with the Fiat 600 hybrid, the Junior Ibrida can travel short distances using electricity alone, typically when you’re parking or nudging along in slow-moving traffic.
There’s no word yet on the price or specs but we’ll bring you those details as they arrive.
