Abarth has moved to streamline and simplify its range in order to take the confusion out of leasing one, and to boost ‘customer satisfaction’.
You have, as ever, a choice between either the 165hp Abarth 595 or the 180hp Abarth 695, with both cars being hot-hatch variants of the dinky little Fiat 500.
But whereas in the past you could enjoy those in a variety of guises and special editions - including the ‘F595’ and rally-inspired ‘Tributo’ models - you’ll now have a choice of just two incarnations - ‘Turismo’ or ‘Competizione’.
The Turismo ‘soul’, as Abarth calls it, is available with both the 595 and 695.
Abarth’s Competizione trim, however, is reserved for the more powerful 695.
The Turismo package is built for ‘style and comfort’, so you get goodies such as black leather seats and 17 inch alloys. You can also enjoy the Turismo as a convertible, too.
The Competizione, however, is designed for ‘hardcore performance and sports lovers’ who might want to take the 695 onto the track.
Lease customers will enjoy Sabelt Carbon seats, unique Competizione alloy wheels, and special badging.
And the good news is that no matter which Abarth you have your eye on, and regardless of trim, you’ll get a cabin that boasts a 7 inch sat nav and infotainment screen, a premium Beats audio system, and Xenon headlights.
The other addition to the Abarth garage is a new colour option - ‘Orange Racing’, apparently ‘created from the combination of the brand’s iconic colours of yellow and red’.
A spokesperson adds:
“It is the essence of the Abarth badge and represents the colours that have made the Scorpion legendary.
“This bold and eye-catching colour harks back to the historic connection between the brand and the Fiat 131 Racing Volumetrico Abarth 1980 limited edition with its Orange Racing 255 livery.”
You can lease an Abarth 595 with Select from just £229 per month*, and they’re currently on special offer - as well as being in stock and ready to be delivered!
*Prices include VAT. Credit is Subject to Status, Ts and Cs and Arrangement Fees apply. Excess mileage may apply. Stock levels and prices correct as of 16/11/22.
