Like a BAT out of hell!

Holy smokes, Batman, check out the new Gotham-inspired electric hypercars from Automobili Pininfarina.

With a colossal power output of 1,900 hp, we’re pretty sure comic book billionaire Bruce Wayne would approve.

In case you’re not au fait, Automobili Pininfarina is an luxury EV specialist based in Italy and offering hand-built cars ‘for the world’s foremost taste makers’.

Following a collaboration with Warner Bros, the firm’s roofless B95 hyper Barchetta and the Battista hyper GT are now being offered in two distinct flavours - ‘Gotham’ and ‘Dark Knight’.

And, just like the Caped Crusader, you’ll need exceedingly deep pockets to afford one of the super limited special editions, with prices beginning at around £3m for the Battista. That puts Automobili Pininfarina’s latest efforts into the territory of ‘most expensive electric vehicles on the face of the planet’.

All four models make use of a 120 kWh battery and four electric motors to accelerate from 0-62mph in less than two seconds. As Automobili Pininfarina points out, that’s faster than a current Formula 1 car.

Both the Battista and B95 models boast ‘Wayne Enterprises’ tech, including an instruction voice inspired by Bruce Wayne’s loyal butler and assistant, Alfred Pennyworth.

Style wise, there are tailgate shark fins and louvred openings in the front and rear carbon fibre wings to improve overall aerodynamic efficiency towards the rear airbrake and vehicle side body.

You even get the Wayne Enterprises logos on the side skirts and roof, and all models display a unique aluminium chassis and door plate.

The ‘Gotham’ spec reflects Batman’s ‘civilian’ alter ego Bruce Wayne, and features a tan leather interior and ‘Argento Vittorio’ gloss paint,

The ‘Dark Knight’ cars are built to represent Batman in full-on, moon-lit crime fighting mode, and feature black Alcantara and black leather upholstery, ‘Nero Profondo’ gloss paint, and ceramic-polished rims.

Dave Amantea, Chief Design Officer at Automobili Pininfarina, said: “Designing an all-electric hypercar inspired by Bruce Wayne is a dream assignment for our team, giving them creative freedom to place themselves into the imagination of someone as iconic as Bruce Wayne. These two exclusive specifications for our two hypercars represent the ultimate vehicles for the man behind the most famous mask in the world.”

I could not recommend Select enough and the amazing service I had from my consultant Shane Newton. Shane regularly updated me on progress of my new vehicle, and was always so helpful in answering any queries I had regarding my order throughout the whole process - no question was silly - he always responded promptly whether that be through email or phone call. I just received my new vehicle last week, and Shane was in contact right away to ensure the handover was seamless and that I was happy with my new vehicle! Needless to say I was very happy with the earlier than anticipated delivery - Christmas has came early! This is my second vehicle with Select and yet another excellent service. I could not fault anything and want to thank Shane once again for all of his help!
