  • Lots of style revisions, including a new front grille and more muscular bonnet.
  • Cabin also redesigned, with more luxurious finishes and a state-of-the-art infotainment system.
  • Available to order now.

Jaguar has updated its performance F-PACE SVR for 2021 - and not only is it better looking, it’s faster than the outgoing model too.

When the sporty F-PACE SVR first went on sale back in 2018 it very quickly had the Porsche Macan Turbo in its sights.

At the time it boasted a supercharged 5.0-litre V8 with power of 550 PS and 680Nm of torque.

And when all that power was channeled through a slick four-wheel-drive system it equated to a 0-62mph time of just 4.3 seconds.

Now, however, the SVR is even quicker off the line, largely thanks to a better torque figure of 700Nm.

The trademark 5.0-litre V8 remains, as does power of 550 PS, but the first 0-62mph is now dispatched in just 4.0 seconds.

There’s also a higher top speed, of 178mph, as well as lower emissions and improved fuel efficiency. CO2 emissions are now from 281g/km to 275g/km, and owners can expect around 23 miles to the gallon.

Meanwhile tweaks and revisions aren’t limited to what’s going on under the bonnet, there are upgrades all-round.

Jaguar says a new steering rack with re-tuned dampers delivers a ‘more connected driving experience with enhanced ride refinement’ while the brakes are now stronger with better cooling, too.

And perhaps most significant are the style changes, which Jaguar says is ‘inspired by motorsport experience, with enhanced airflow and aerodynamic benefits’.

Specifically, there’s a new front grille, a longer bonnet with a wider ‘power bulge’, revised rear bumper with blade-like flourishes, and enlarged side vents to aid brake cooling.

And it’s a similar story inside the cabin, which has also been ‘comprehensively redesigned’.

Seat and door inserts are finished in Alcantara, as is the 12.3-inch HD Interactive Driver Display, while the Drive Selector has been revised and finished with dimpled leather.

At the heart of the interior is a new 11.4-inch curved-glass HD infotainment touchscreen hooked-up to Jaguar Land Rover’s ‘Pivi Pro’ system, giving you access to everything from your Apple music to cabin air filtration tech.

Michael van der Sande, of Jaguar Special Vehicle Operations, said: “The original F-PACE SVR was incredibly characterful, well received by our customers and has gone on to become the highest-selling Jaguar SV product ever.
“The new version builds on this success, by making numerous detailed improvements that combine to raise the bar in the high-performance SUV segment. With a wide range of technological enhancements from our team of expert engineers and a comprehensively improved exterior and interior finish, the new F-PACE SVR is more focused, inspires more confidence and is even more captivating than ever before.”

The new SVR is available to order now, priced from £77,595.

And you can lease an F-PACE SVR from our Jaguar F-Pace lease page here.

But if that sounds a bit steep, and you don’t need all that power, the regular - and brilliant - F-PACE can be yours for a lot less, starting at around £458 per month**.
